He was a researcher at the Networks and Communities Laboratory at the Autónoma University of Barcelona and a visiting researcher at the University of Belgrade. He was a researcher at Flacso and co-director of Ekhos.

He teaches at the Pontificia Católica University of Chile and the Adolfo Ibáñez University. He also directs the Controversies Management group. He is a member of Tironi Asociados.
