Alejandra is a director of Ciudad Emergente. She works in cultural administration and, since 2010, has been executive director of the Centro Gabriela Mistral, GAM. Before heading the GAM, she managed Scotiabank’s Corporate Affairs Division and CSR. Prior to this she managed BHP Billiton’s external affairs for over a decade.
She has been included on El Mercurio’s list of 100 Women Leaders in Chile twice. As director of GAM she was praised for her management of the 2010 annual accounts by the journal Qué Pasa, La Segunda newspaper, and the Paula journal. In 2012 she received the Energía Mujer prize for GAM’s work with the community. She is advisor to Comunidad Mujer and member of the Network for the Center for Public Space Studies (Red del Centro de Estudios Espacio Público).
