TACTICAL ACTIVATIONS
Okuplaza: A Space for Community and Sustainability
The Quilicura Clean and Safe project was a milestone in transforming a dumpsite into a public gathering space through an incremental strategy that achieved both short- and long-term goals. Among its highlights, the project included an Okuplaza, featuring workshops, talks, and community activities that promoted the use of the site and strengthened connections among residents.
In the area where 180 tons of debris were removed, innovations were introduced, such as a metal structure with a reed canopy providing shade and a photocatalytic walkway capable of reducing CO2 emissions, fostering environmental sustainability.
