The project

"Shared streets" is an initiative that promotes the use of sustainable transportation systems and face-to-face encounters between people, seeking to sensitize citizens about how small changes in our habits can build more sustainable cities, helping to combat the climate change.

For 6 weeks, 4 blocks from the historic center of Danlí were intervened with a series of light, fast and cheap tactics in public spaces, with the purpose of promoting activities where the pedestrian was the main actor. In addition, with the aim of promoting the use of the street, a calendar of activities promoted by Ciudad Emergente and co-organized with other organizations of different kinds, from the public, private and academic sectors was proposed.
