Karen has worked for more than 11 years in private companies and foundations. Lately, she has developed work as an administrative consultant, supporting the design, proposal, and evaluation of public programs and policies in areas such as institutional strengthening, poverty reduction and inequality, democracy, citizen participation, and social inclusion. She also supports social action programs that bring together various initiatives aimed at positively impacting the community in areas like health, the environment, security, education, and more.

She has collaborated with Ciudad Emergente on initiatives since 2022, supporting different projects, and is currently working as a consultant on Google projects: “Clean and Safe Quilicura: Socio-environmental Program for the Transformation of Micro-dumps into Safe Public Spaces” and “Urban Innovation Lab, Green Tech Spaces in Santiago: Pilot of Sustainable Public Spaces Designed on a Human Scale.”
