Objectives

To expedite the construction times of the city in a participatory and innovative way.

To instill capabilities in people to overcome the barriers that prevent them from expanding their quality of life.

To provide social intelligence through consultancies, advice, urban studies, and research that inform a larger planning process and foster understanding of the impacts of interventions on people and emerging communities.

Theoretical Approach

Our Methodology is based on the combination of two approaches: the Capability Approach (CA) or Theory of Capabilities, and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The first corresponds to the discourse developed by Amartya Sen and Martha Nussbaum, implemented by various United Nations programs, which places the emphasis of development on the expansion of people's capabilities to lead the kind of life they have reason to value. The second corresponds to the information transmission tools, mainly computer science, the internet, and telecommunications, which are widely disseminated in the daily life of urban societies.
