Bernardo has focused his career on creating synergy between people and their natural environment, convinced that good design has a positive impact on human life.

In 2015, he began working independently, designing community centers, social housing, and public spaces. This initial phase reaffirmed his belief that the participation of all stakeholders is a key driver of change, capable of strengthening the social fabric in a sustainable way.

In 2017, he founded Oficina Austral, a design and architecture studio specializing in corporate offices, commercial spaces, housing, and mountain shelters. At the same time, he worked on designing learning environments in schools and kindergartens for the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), recognizing that optimizing these spaces enhances the educational experience and strengthens the sense of belonging.

He currently collaborates with Fundación Ciudad Emergente on community infrastructure improvement projects and shares his vision on architecture and sustainability through a weekly newsletter.
