Cristóbal Mella

Cristóbal is an Architect and holds a Master's in Sustainable Design and Construction from the Universidad del Desarrollo.
He has worked for 1 year as an independent architect in minor works projects, in addition to having participated in the development of building, public space, and urban planning projects.
Specialized in the design of passive strategies in building and sustainable construction, collaborating in academic instances as a teaching assistant in sustainability courses. He has expressed an active interest in the conservation and enhancement of wetlands, an area in which he has deepened his knowledge through training in Biodiversity and Wetland Conservation (XXIX version) at the Universidad Santo Tomás. He maintains a constant interest in the social and human approach to architecture and urbanism, understanding the built space as a tool to improve people's quality of life and strengthen the relationship between city, community, and environment.
Currently, he participates in the board of directors of the Chile Green Building Council, collaborating in the promotion of sustainable construction practices and in the dissemination of standards that foster more responsible, resilient, and livable cities.
