Why
CEM
We seek to preserve what makes us profoundly human: our capacity for dialogue, mutual trust, and collaboration with one another to solve the great challenges of our time.
How we work
We foster life in public spaces, transforming spaces in a tactical and creative way. We build human-scale cities in harmony with the planet. We use emerging technologies, encourage citizen participation, and train people interested in improving their cities and environments.
What do we do
We build sustainable plazas, parks, bike paths, facilities, and public spaces. We organize massive gatherings and neighborhood meetings that bring our streets and neighborhoods to life. We implement nature-based solutions. We collect data and generate studies that allow us to plan cities based on evidence.
We are a Laboratory of Tactics and Tools for Citizen Urbanism.
We are a non-profit organization that develops high-impact urban projects with a focus on sustainability, participation, and tactical urbanism. Our mission is to make cities more human, inclusive, and adaptable.
